Scholarship schemes

As part of its commitment to the legal profession, Read Hope Phillips has established a scholarship scheme available to final year law students from South Africa’s major universities. To qualify for one of two scholarships of up to R35 000, students must meet all three of the following criteria: 

• have achieved good academic results
• be from a historically disadvantaged background
• require financial assistance.

The scholarship scheme is augmented by a mid-year vacation employment programme for students awarded scholarships. Scholarship recipients may be required to take up employment with Read Hope Phillips after graduating.
